Mr. Akintunde Oludayo AKINTEYE was born on the 22nd of January 1969 in Mushin, Lagos State. He started his Primary Education at Odu-Abore Primary School, Mushin in 1973 but completed and received the Primary School Leaving Certificate at Ansar-Ud Deen Primary School at Igbo-Ora in Oyo State in 1979.
He thereafter proceeded to Igboora High School, Igboora for his post- primary education and obtained his West African School Certificate in 1984.
In 1986, he was admitted to the Lagos State College of Education (LACOED) now Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) where he obtained a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1989. He thereafter proceeded to the University of Lagos where he obtained a B.A (ED) English with a Second-Class Upper Division.
In 2005, he went back to the same University for a Master’s Degree in English language and graduated in 2006 with a Distinction and was awarded the Best Graduating Master’s student in the Department of English Studies.
His work career started in 1991 when he was employed as a classroom teacher by the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and was deployed to Methodist Boys’ High School, Lagos. He was later transferred to St. Gregory’s College, Obalende in 1994 and later to Falomo High School, Falomo in Year 2000 where he taught briefly before he was moved to Army Cantonment Secondary School, Ikeja the same year.
In 2007, he was deployed to the Speech Villa, Chief of Staff Office, in the Governor’s Office. Later in 2009, he formally transferred his Service to Main Stream Civil Service and converted to the Administrative Cadre.
In June, 2011, he was moved from the Chief of Staff Office to the Office of Deputy Governor where he is presently as a Deputy Director, (A& HR) and the Head of the Speech Unit.
Akintunde whose nickname remains Akins Mummy Jojo is known for his dogged spirit and courage to pursue vigorously and achieve every worthy goal he believes in. He is a member of many professional, social and religious organisations including Self Improvement Campaign Organization(SICO), a Non-Governmental Organisation, he helps to coordinate
In the course of his career, Akintunde has garnered so much experience both as a teacher and as an Administrator through his attendance at relevant courses, seminars, workshops and conferences.
His hobbies include writing, reading and playing table tennis. He is an author of four books on different subjects. Akintunde Oludayo Akinteye is married to Mrs Abiola Akinteye nee Arowojobe and the marriage is blessed with children including a set of female twins.
