Mrs. Yetunde Adefolahan Odejayi was born on 21st June, 1961, by Reverend & Mrs. J. A. Badejo of blessed memories, who were indigenes of Ijebu- Igbo, Ogun State.
She started her primary school education in 1967 at Government Teachers Training Demonstration Primary School, Ilesha. On completion of her primary school education, she was enrolled at Methodist High School, Ilesha, in 1973, where she obtained her WAEC O’level in 1977. Her foray in tertiary education, started in 1979 at the Adeyemi College of Education in Ondo State, where she obtained an NCE certification (1982). Her panache for further education took her to the University of Benin in 1984 where she obtained a Bachelor degree in Adult Education (History). She later bagged two other masters degrees in Education (1988) and Public Administration (2010) both from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka.
Mrs. Yetunde Adefolahan Odejayi’s professional career in the Lagos State Public Service commenced in October, 1986, when she took appointment as Master Grade II, GL. 08, under the now defunct Lagos State School Management Board, where she rose to the post of Senior Education Officer, GL. 10. During her stint under the board, she taught in various schools which includes, School of Basic Studies, Ikorodu, Onike Girls High School, and Stadium High School, Agege.
In January,1991, she transferred her service to the main stream of the State Civil Service and was deployed to the then Lagos State Commission for Women Affairs. Subsequently, via conversion, she was re-designated as a Principal Administrative Officer, GL. 12. A cadre in which she grew through the echelon to the post of Director (Admin. & Human Resources) in July, 2015.
She has served in various capacities and MDAs, such as Ministries of Housing, Economic Planning & Budget, Environment & Physical Planning, Lagos State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission, Office of Special Adviser on Central Business District, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, Lagos State Judiciary, State Consultancy Board, Civil Service Pensions Office and Office of the Deputy Governor.
Mrs. Yetunde Odejayi is a Civil Servant with a difference. A seasoned professional, consummate administrator, astute manager of men and resource. She is a woman of exceptional qualities;- dutiful, diligent, forthright and purposeful driven.
A public servant with immense wealth of experience, Mrs. Odejayi had served in various capacities with remarkable achievements, which to a large extent has earned her a well deserved recognition and accolades even among her contemporaries.
One of such is her appointment as the pioneer Director of Finance & Administration Directorate of Lagos State Judiciary, a position she held between December, 2009 and July, 2012. Her performance and achievements within a period of two and half years are tremendous and such that would remain a reference point in the State Judiciary for years to come. A woman with a pioneering instinct, she was also a pioneer Director of Finance & Administration Directorate of the Office of Special Adviser on Central Business District, at a time the Lagos Business District witnessed improved outlook in development and infrastructure.
In 2005 – 2006, while at the Ministry of Economic Planning & Budget, she successfully coordinated some foreign assisted development projects in some selected rural communities in Lagos State as the then programme focal officer at the Technical Aids Department of the Ministry.
A tried and tested officer with a unique skill and sound work ethics, her attitude and approach to work is simply infectious as she is proactive, resourceful, focus, principled with a keen eye for details. A woman of excellence, kind-hearted and humane, with excellent communication skill and good human relations qualities. Mrs. Odejayi is simply a goal getter, effective team leader and a team player.
She is a member Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management and Olave Baden–Powell Society.

She is married to Dr. Olusegun Odejayi and blessed with four Children, her interest include reading and counselling.
